Note 1:
With negative values for word-spacing, Opera 7 doesn't allow words to overlap. If the absolute value is bigger than the normal space between words, the gap is replaced by a line feed.

Note 2:
With negative values for letter-spacing, these browsers don't render letters if they are pushed out of the element to the left (or with direction:rtl to the right). This is imco due to their rendering of overflow.

Note 3:
CSS 2 states: "Conforming user agents may simply not blink the text."

Note 4:
Opera 7 doesn't format descendant block boxes with the same decoration if the value for text-decoration is blink, even if the descendant element is formatted with inherit.

Note 5:
Concerning 'spanning' of descendant block elements: The specification states: "This property is not inherited, but descendant boxes of a block box should be formatted with the same decoration." It doesn't say whether this holds true if the text-decoration for the descendant block box has been explicitly set to 'none'.
